Accessible Books for Students with Print Disabilities

How to Access Resources from Canadian Equitable Library Access (CELA)

Click here for a printable “how to” click: How to Access Resources from CELA.

Step 1: Create a CELA Account by clicking HERE. You will need your public library card.  Note: it can take 3-5 days for CELA to send you an email with your account info.

Step 2: Log into CELA from a computer, phone or Chromebooks to select the titles you would like to gain access to.

For Braille books, they will do a parchment imprint and send you the book for the student to keep.

For access to audio and text, I would recommend downloading the DAISY text (Direct to player) or DAISY audio (Direct to player).

Step 3: Download Dolphin Easy Reader onto your school or the student’s iPad, iPhone or Android device. (This is in the SD62 District Self-Serve App).

  • Sign into Dolphin EasyReader using your gmail account (you can sue your @sd62learns.org account)
  • Log into CELA, and you will be able to see the materials you selected.
